Dr. Sharon Goldman
Licensed clinician
- In-Person & Online Therapist
Dr. Sharon Goldman, PhD
Licensed Clinical Psychologist | Bilingual (English and Spanish)
With over 20 years of experience, I am a licensed clinical psychologist dedicated to providing compassionate, culturally responsive care. My work spans diverse clinical, educational, and community-based settings, where I have developed a deep understanding of the complexities of emotional and developmental health.
I specialize in psychodynamic, developmental, and trauma-informed approaches to psychotherapy, with a strong focus on integrating cultural humility into my practice. Throughout my career, I have worked with children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 5 to 20), addressing a wide range of psychological conditions. At the League School Center in Brooklyn, I provided individual, group, and family therapy, developing personalized treatment plans that reflected each client’s unique developmental and emotional needs.
My clinical training includes a predoctoral internship at the Community Services Institute in Springfield, MA, where I conducted psychotherapy and psychological assessments (WAIS, WISC, TAT, CAT, Rorschach) and supported families dealing with complex mental health challenges. Additionally, I completed an internship at the Harlem Family Institute, providing therapy to children and families within the NYC public school system.
Earlier in my career, I worked as a bilingual case manager at La Familia Medical Center and as a resident counselor at La Nueva Vida, a recovery program for adolescent boys. These roles deepened my commitment to trauma-informed care and reinforced the importance of a culturally sensitive approach to mental health.
In addition to my clinical practice, I have a rich background in education. From 1998 to 2021, I taught a range of subjects—including Spanish, ESL, Jewish Studies, and preschool—across various schools in New York and Massachusetts. My teaching roles included positions at Temple Beth Shalom in Santa Fe, the New England School of English in Cambridge, and public schools in both states.
Education:
Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, Pacifica Graduate Institute
MTS, Harvard Divinity School
Ed.M., Harvard Graduate School of Education
M.A., St. John’s College
B.A., Sarah Lawrence College
My diverse professional journey reflects my commitment to fostering healing, growth, and resilience in individuals from all walks of life. I take great pride in offering a space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to overcome life’s challenges.

- In-Person & Online Therapist
Licensed Mental Health Counselor – Limited Permit
Serving Teens & Young Adults | English & Russian | In-Person & Virtual
Hey, I’m Robert. I’m a therapist who gets that life can feel overwhelming sometimes—especially when you’re trying to figure out who you are, what you want, and how to deal with everything life throws your way.
I work with teens and young adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, identity struggles, or just feeling stuck. Whether it’s stress about school, relationships, family, or your future, you don’t have to go through it alone.
I was born and raised in Brooklyn, and I speak both English and Russian fluently. I started this path during the pandemic, a time that really showed how important mental health is. I earned my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from LIU Brooklyn and have experience working with clients from all kinds of backgrounds.
In our sessions, I use tools like CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), trauma-informed practices, and play-informed approaches when needed—especially for younger clients. But honestly, therapy with me isn’t one-size-fits-all. We’ll work together to find what fits you best.
My goal is to create a space where you feel safe to open up, be yourself, and figure things out at your own pace. You don’t have to have it all together—just be ready to show up as you are.
Let’s talk. I’m here when you’re ready.
